I Would Text You Some Love

Aww, you all are so great!

I've been MIA the last few days because I started my new job on Wednesday, and have been busy trying to learn huge yachts of information... and then meeting up with friends after work. This is because 1) they all want to hang out now that I'm working nearby, and 2) they are worried that I will get lost on my way home from work and want to make sure I know where I'm going.

So it was AWESOME to return to this blog and, instead of dead desert with tumbleweeds rolling across the page, see all your encouraging comments. Thank you!
This would be much more impressive if I'd flipped the picture so you could read the text. Now you're going to have to try holding your screen up to a mirror or something.

About the new job: I'm conflicted about how much I should talk about it here. Not because I want to say bad things (I don't!), but because I want to take some time to decide how I'll define boundaries. I did that with my posts about teaching, too.

If you want to know the bare bones, you can get LinkedIn (shameless, but come on... you know you want to be professionally networked to me) and see where I'm working and my job title. To give that skeleton a tiny bit of cartilage, a lot of what I'll do every day involves writing, talking to people, and coming up with (hopefully) good ideas... fun stuff. Stuff I like to do even when I'm not getting paid.

How are all of you doing? Tell me in the comments! I'm trying to get caught up on reading all your blogs/Twitters/novels/etc., but even a teeny update would make me happiest of all Christinas.

There you are!! If this whole work thing is going to get in the way of our pretty time together, then you might need to reconsider this whole 'job' thingy.

I hope that means that you like it and it's going well so far!

Let me tell you what. My roommates (engaged couple) are generally lovely people. Where they fail miserably is something most people call "laundry". They will occupy both the washer and the dryer at the same time for a solid week with the same load while I'm quietly waiting to do mine.

THEN, they will leave aforementioned load in the washer so long that it smells funny, meaning they have to WASH IT AGAIN.
All the while, I'm turning socks inside out and double-sniffing shirts to see if they're "really dirty" or just "sort of dirty". Ew.

By the way, you wrote lovely things on my last post and I promise to complain about school and NC really soon!

I've missed you and your postings. I know what you mean about boundaries and blogging. Sometimes I just want to sit down and say, "This is me! These are my problems!" but my audience will be like, "But what about the shoes?!"

I'm glad the job has made you happy. Whatever it is, I'm sure you're rocking its socks off.

Congrats! I saw on LinkedIn that you had a new job. Guess 2010 is the year of new adventures!

My last official day at my old job was last Wednesday. I got a little teary sending my farewell email, but have gotten over it now that other companies are contacting me asking about my rates. Nothing official lined up yet, but getting interest just a couple days into being a free agent isn't a bad start.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I just held a mirror up to the message. I couldn't read it who it was from but they left you a very sweet message!

Hahaha... Sara, it was a text message I wrote to "Too Pretty Readers."

So the sweet message was for you.
